This post will be going over the target platforms for the game engine project that I’ve been working on. They’re mostly platforms I want to target for my own personal game. This post is mostly to give everyone an idea of how the project will end up being optimized.
The majority of these platforms will end up being tested with VMs as well as hardware where possible. If you have some of the hardware listed, then additional testing would be appreciated! I’ll be making a suite of testing tools to get it all up and running relatively easily. Currently the platforms I test on are:
- Linux 4.19 (x86_64)
- Windows 10 1803 (x86_64)
- Mac OSX 10.13 (x86_64)
Here are software platforms that I will be targeting at a later date:
- Windows 7 (x86_32/64)
- Mac OSX (10.9+)
- ARMv7/8 (x64, maybe x32)
- FreeBSD (x86_32/64)
Here are some hardware platforms I will be targeting directly with the software platforms (mostly Single Board Computers):
- Raspberry Pi 4B (4GB)
- ODROID XU4
- Nintendo Switch
