Q&A 003

I promise, I’m not dead. I’ll start this Q & A off with acknowledging that I’ve been relatively silent when it comes to the internet/social media recently. I’ve started a new job at a local towing company. It’s really a great learning experience for me. I still write code daily, I just don’t have consistent enough internet right now to stream on. Note: I’ll be sorting that problem out shortly, and intend on streaming at least somewhat regularly.

I’ve moved from my desktop to a laptop, as my life has changed a good bit in the past 2 months. I’ve moved house, got a job, and feel like I have a better outlook on life in general. I’m staying busy, which helps keep me motivated even outside of work. Plus the steady income makes things a bit easier to bare.

What are you working on now?

Well, 2 main things. I’m working on void/into the darkness/beyond the void, whatever you want to call it. However I’ve come to a standstill with the project. I just need to take a decent break from it and come back to it in a month or two. Historically Februaries are good months for me to work on it. I’m also working on a second project. Without going into too much detail or trying to build too much hype, I’ll give a brief description. It’s a 2D Platformer, it follows similar concepts to void. I want it to be simple to play but hard to master. I’m making with intentions of not having any random generation. My good friend Alex/Littz has gotten into Speed Running recently, and I want to see how he likes what I’d make!

What are your current goals?

My current goals are to finish the 2D game enough to show it off, and get to a position where I can stream relatively regularly. I’m leaning towards launching it on itch and making it be either low cost or free. I’ll see where I’m at when I get closer to actually releasing it.

How are you doing?

I’m good, my mental health is relatively good as of recently. I wake up looking forward to working. It might not be a programming job, but my co workers are great people and it’s always exciting to go in and learn new things.

As always, if you have any questions or just want to talk to me you can message me on twitter or join the discord and chat with everyone else as well!
